چکیده
There are a huge number of bolted joints used in engineering applications. However, unreasonable design and use may lead to degradation failure the connected structure. Herein, finite element analysis method is investigate influence various factors on mechanical properties joints. To simulate actual assembly loading process, different steps were considered, given as: tightening step, initial lose step step. In transverse load applied obtain force-displacement curve. Structural parameters, i.e. clamping force, effective clamp length clearance, coefficients friction all contact surfaces considered analysis. The results showed that performance joint under exhibits stages, this agrees well with our previous experimental results. Through curves, characterization parameters for can be extracted, such as curve form, tangential stiffness, slip distance, threshold, etc. evaluation integrates process from service, which helps provide reference reliability improvement

Strength Prediction in CFRP Woven Laminate Bolted Single-Lap Joints under Quasi-static Loading using XFEM
This paper is concerned with modelling damage and fracture in woven fabric CFRP single-lap bolted joints that fail by net-tension. The approach is based on the assumption that damage (matrix cracking, delamination and fibre tow fracture) initiates and propagates from the hole in a self-similar fashion. A traction-separation law (based on physically meaningful material parameters) is implemented...
متن کاملFailure Mode and Analysis of the Bonded/bolted Joints between a Hybrid Fibre Reinforced Polymer and Aluminium Alloy
Composites are being used extensively in several engineering applications. However, the efficiency of the joints used in joining composites and metals can be improved. To move towards a sustainable and environment friendly future, natural fibre composite material was used. Towards the above objective, research work was carried out for the assembly between a composite and aluminium. Three differ...
متن کاملStrength Prediction in CFRP Woven Laminate Bolted Double-Lap Joints under Quasi-static Loading using XFEM
The current paper is concerned with modelling damage and fracture in woven fabric composite double-lap bolted joints that fail by net-tension. A 3-D finite element model is used, which incorporates bolt clamp-up, to model a range of CFRP bolted joints, which were also tested experimentally. The effects of laminate lay-up, joint geometry, hole size and bolt clamp-up torque were considered. An Ex...
متن کاملIsogeometric-Based Modeling and Analysis of Laminated Composite Plates Under Transverse Loading
Analysis of the laminated composite plates under transverse loading is considered using the new method of Isogeometric Analysis (IGA). Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines(NURBS)are used as shape functions for modeling the geometry of the structure and also are used as shape functions in the analysis process. To show robustness of the new technique, some examples are represented and are compared with...
متن کاملFailure Procedure in Adhesive Composite Joints under Different Types of Loading
In this paper, we have used numerical simulation to study failure of adhesive joints in composite plates. To determine the failure load, adhesive joints are subjected to different types of loading and gradual failure of the joint is studied using the finite element method. The composite material failure theory is implemented into the FEM software. Also different geometries for the joint edge ar...
